A growing club dedicated to Armed Forces veterans and those serving is holding an Armistice Day memorial service.
The Basildon arm of the Veterans Breakfast Club will be running a short service of remembrance, following their normal breakfast meeting.
The club, which has 43 members, will also be joined by Stephen Metcalfe, MP for South Basildon and East Thurrock, and Mark Francois, MP for Rayleigh and Wickford.
Basildon resident Kevin Woods is a Falklands veteran and served in the Army between 1979 and 1987, and co-ordinates the club’s monthly meetings.
The service will be at the Campanile Hotel off Burches, Basildon at 11am on November 11.
