Nothing But Thieves are continuing to tour despite allegations of sexual assault being aimed at the band in the past week.
The Southend five-piece performed at Southampton Guildhall on Wednesday night as part of the UK leg of their “Broken Machine” world tour.
In a public statement, the former Westcliff High School students said they “100 per cent deny” the allegations.
In a statement, posted on the band’s Twitter account on Wednesday night, the band said: “We want to start by saying we completely support victims of assault and respect their bravery in coming forward with their stories.
“We want you to know we 100 per cent deny any wrongdoing in the false allegations brought against us.
“We have the utmost respect for women and would never treat them in the ways that we have been accused of.
“We are deeply sorry to anyone who has been upset by these allegations and want to reassure you, they are totally false.”
No police force has said they are investigating the claims.
The band are expected to continue performing this weekend at the Roundhouse in Camden.
Tonight and tomorrow’s sold out shows will be the band’s final appearances in the country this year.
There has been no cancellation of any shows that the band are scheduled to play across Europe, America or Australia.
July Talk, the band’s support act for the UK tour have decided to leave the tour following the allegations.
The band from Toronto, Canada, said: “We are sad to announce that we have to cancel the rest of our UK tour dates supporting Nothing But Thieves.
“While we’ve had a great time on the tour, we can no longer participate due to accounts we’ve read online of misconduct.
“Because we don’t anticipate this issue being resolved within the remaining show dates, we have to step away. Our apologies go out to the fans who have missed out in Norwich, Southampton and London.
“We love touring the UK and we’ll be back soon.”
The other support band on the tour, Blackpool rockers, Darlia, are still set to perform at the shows in Camden this weekend.
The band are scheduled to continue touring until the beginning of February next year.
