New manager of Southend United - Chris Powell
SOUTHEND United have confirmed Chris Powell as their new manager.
The former Blues left back has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at Roots Hall.
The 48-year-old replaces Phil Brown in charge and will face Scunthorpe United at home in his first game on Saturday.
