Bradley Blundell, who is wanted in connection with the death of John Pordage, has been arrested in Amsterdam.
A search for Blundell was launched after John Pordage, 34, was shot in the chest in Baddow Road, Chelmsford, on August 5, 2017.
The search ended after a man identifying himself as 18-year-old Bradley Blundell attended a police station in Amsterdam yesterday evening, Saturday, March 31.
Police will now be preparing papers for his extradition back to the UK.
DCI Martin Pasmore, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “A number of agencies both in the UK and abroad, including the National Crime Agency (NCA), have been involved in this search, and we extend our thanks for their welcome assistance.
“Mr Pordage’s family has been informed of the arrest.”
