ARTISTIC and talented pupils were given the opportunity to show off their creativity at Cherry Tree Primary School and Nursery with an annual Easter event.

The school, which is based in Church Road, Basildon, held their annual Easter Bonnet Parade, much to the delight of the pupils, who all prepared impressive bonnets to parade for the day.

And pupils were given the opportunity to parade around the school halls with their eye-catching designs, comparing and debating who had the most creative bonnet. The youngsters’ parents were also invited to pop into the school in the afternoon, offering support and cheering on the children at the joyous occasion.

As always, the raffle added some extra fun to the day, as parents walked away with some exciting prizes after winning in the raffle, after members of the school’s staff kindly donated items a whole host of items.

The Easter Bonnet Parade has become a permanent fixture in the Cherry Tree school calendar, with pupils enjoying the joyous event before breaking up for the Easter holidays each year, with the event becoming one of the most eagerly anticipated in the school calendar.

The pupils all went home smiling ear to ear after the fun day full of Easter related activities, with the addition of a Smarties Easter Egg each to enjoy.
