With temperatures dropping and the nights drawing in, it definitely feels like winter.
Although usually associated with rain, wind and the dark, winter can still produce some wonderful photos, as our camera club members have proven.
From foxes in the snow to cats exploring a frozen pond, from muddy horses to kingfishers on a frozen branch, these are just some of the delightful photos they have shared with us.
Kirsty Hough, audience and content manager at the Echo who looks after the camera club’s Facebook Group, said: “Our camera club has been a great success.
“We currently have more than 1,200 members and have been going just over a year.
“As these photos show, the quality of the photos taken is fantastic.
“We were really impressed by the winter wildlife themed pictures.
“We welcome everyone to join and share their photos, ask advice and take part in competitions.
“Some of the members even hold regular meet-ups and photo sessions which is lovely to see.”
