Police are appealing for information after a dog was injured during an aggravated burglary in Pitsea.
Three men entered an address in Rokescroft just before 10.35pm last night, November 28.
All three carried knives and threatened the victims inside, before making off with several debit and credit cards and a small amount of cash.
The victim’s dog, Lexi, suffered injuries to her eye after being cut with a knife by one of the men.
The graphic picture of Lexi’s injuries are above and her owner hopes that, by sharing the image, people may be encouraged to come forward with information.
The three men have been described as being black and they are believed to be in their late 20s or early 30s. They all wore dark clothing and left the address in the direction of Pitsea Road.
Anyone who may live in the area, or was in the area at the time, and has any information or CCTV or dashcam footage available to view is asked to call the Basildon Local Policing Team on 101.
