A WILDLIFE hospital cared for seals taken in by concerned divers.
The British Divers Marine Life Rescue took the animals to the South Essex Wildlife Hospital in Orsett.
Two seals were brought in on consecutive days, and although very unwell, both were lively and had “plenty of fight” left in them.
A hospital spokesman said on Facebook: “One has some infected bite wounds, possibly caused by an out of control dog, the other a respiratory infection.”
The seals will now be nursed back to health at the wildlife hospital.
