Waste collection workers held a procession of lorries and vehicles in honour of a colleague who passed away.

The parade of vehicles was lined up outside Pitsea Crematorium this morning.

Residents posted online about the touching tribute.

Councillor Kevin Blake, Chairman of the Leisure, Culture and Environment Committee, said: “Refuse teams paid tribute to a colleague who had passed away this morning by lining their vehicles outside Pitsea Crematorium. No services were disrupted as a result of this moving display for a respected colleague.
