MORE than 200 people are walking 18 miles to fundraise in memory of a young Canvey boy.
Around 230 people set off from Southend seafront outside the Sealife centre at 9.30am this morning on what would have been Danny Green's 18th birthday.

Danny, from Canvey, died in July 2012 aged 11 in Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital following a battle with cancer.
The group will be walking to The Lobster Smack on Haven Road, Canvey, raising money for the Danny Green Fund set up by his parents to help those suffering Posterior Fossa Syndrome, meaning they cannot walk unaided, and to those who have suffered brain tumours.
Lisa Green, Danny's mother, said before the walk: "It has come round so quickly from when we first thought about the challenge and everyone kindly signed up.
"I am feeling so many emotions; nervous, excited, a little scared (as I've only got up to ten miles walking in training) to name a few.
"I am sitting here thinking about Danny and how amazed he would be that so many people will be walking for him tomorrow and at the same time raising money to help children who are suffering from the same condition he had to battle along with the symptoms of his brain tumour and the side effects of the harsh treatments he endured.
"He would be overwhelmed just as I am that so many people are taking part."
The group will be arriving at the Lobster Smack over the course of the afternoon.
