HARRY Lennon has been demoted to Southend United’s under-23 squad after a social media recording.
Videos of Lennon – in his Shrimpers club tracksuit – have appeared online with him seen in a pub alongside Dover winger Jack Munns just hours after the non-league club dumped Blues out of the FA Cup.
And Shrimpers boss Sol Campbell will now not consider the centre-back for tomorrow night’s Leasing.com Trophy clash against AFC Wimbledon at Roots Hall.
"It’s a situation you come across every now and again but we’ve got to find out exactly what went on and that’s key," said Campbell.
"We will assess it from there but he’s not training with the first team at the moment.
"He’s been demoted to the under-23s and we will take it from there but he won’t be considered for the game tomorrow."
