THE driver of a police car that crashed into a wall broke his thumb.
A police vehicle was chasing another drive along London Road, Leigh last night when the vehicles collided with each other.
The police car then crashed into the wall of a building.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Two cars, including a police car, were in collision in London Road, Leigh at around 8.10pm Sunday.
"The police car, which was on blue lights and sirens at the time, was then also in collision with a building.
"The driver of the police car has sustained a broken thumb."
Police have appealed for information regarding the crash.
