A WESTCLIFF escape room has launched a virtual puzzle solving game to stay in business.
Room Escape Southend has launched a virtual escape room called "The Virus" in a bid to stay in business during the coronavirus pandemic.
Due to government guidance, the escape rooms based in Hamlet Court Road has stopped visitors coming in but is still offering tickets with no date on them, meaning they will be valid for any time in the next two years.
A spokesman said: "Are you missing escape rooms already? In this trying time we are looking at a few months (possibly) till we can be locked away in an escape room having fun with family and friends. In this time of need we can still all support each other.
"Over the period we are in this lockdown stage we will be supporting local business owners with offers and deals and helping keeping them a float all while trying to keep our heads above water as well.
"In the meantime we have OPEN DATED TICKETS (buy one get one free) valid for two YEARS as present.
"We also have our VIRUS room opening this week where you can control an AI around our new Zombie infected room completing clues and puzzles from the comfort of your sofa."
