Hundreds of families are pitched up on Southend's beaches as they soak in the sun.
Residents ahve been urged to keep a safe distance from others amid the coronavirus pandemic, and avoid crowded places.
Mixed reports on social media suggest that beach-goers are doing their best to social distance, but it is becoming increasingly difficult due to the number of people on the beaches.
