A search for a missing person was ended quickly this afternoon ... when the person was located having a drink nearby.
Community support officers at Shoebury Common were assisted by the coastguard and the police marine unit after reports of a missing person.
Teams were searching both on the seafront and in Shoebury Common North.
But they were quickly stood down when the person was located enjoying a drink in Harvester, on Ness Road.

The community support team praised "great partnership work" between the three organisations.
A spokesman said: "CSO's at Shoebury Common assisted the coastguard and police marine unit in finding a missing person who was located .... in the Harvester having a drink!!."
