A mass brawl broke out in a popular pub in Basildon town centre.

The fight, which took place on Friday evening, happened at the Moon on the Square, Fodderwick, Basildon.

Alarming footage of the incident shows punches being thrown and pub-goers being shoved, with one man's top even being pulled off during the chaos.

It's unclear what caused the brawl, which also saw chairs strewn across the floor, to take place.

Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
