AN ACTRESS from Eastenders was arrested for an alleged racially aggravated public order after a fight on Southend seafront.
Footage of the shocking brawl which began outside the Papillon pub on Marine Parade was shared across social media following the fight on Friday night.
A 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and a racially aggravated public order.
Eyewitness reports over the weekend suggested the woman arrested was Katie Jarvis, who portrayed the character Hayley Slater in the BBC One soap Eastenders from 2018 to 2019.
But the Echo can now confirm Jarvis was the woman arrested in connection to the incident.
Video footage of the fight shows multiple women involved near tables at the front of the pub.
The fight moves onto the pavement next to a row of parked cars as other punters look on in horror.
Towards the end of the video, a police van arrives on the road and officers try to break up the fight.
One witness claim to hear someone shouting "black lives don't matter".
Essex Police stated the woman was arrested at 10.05pm on Friday and has been released on bail until August 21.
