Serious incident on QE2 bridge causes miles of traffic tailing back to Lakeside
A serious incident on the QE2 bridge has left traffic tailing back for miles, affecting as far as Lakeside.
The incident, which took place at around 6.07am this morning, continues to cause congestion on the M25 halfway back to J29 and further back along the A13 and into Lakeside.
It comes after emergency services were called to the Dartford Crossing earlier this morning, with two lanes remaining closed on the approach to the A282.
Drivers can expect very slow traffic due to accident investigation work taking place on site and have been advised to find an alternative route where possible.
UPDATE: The incident has now been cleared.
