DO you remember these old churches that were once part of Southend’s landscape?
A glimpse into the Echo’s archives show pictures of the old St Erkenwald’s Church, Trinity Church and Clarence Road’s Baptist Church.
All three are no longer in Southend, with them all being demolished before the turn of the century.
St Erkenwald’s Church, which was built in 1905 having been designed by architect Sir Walter Tapper, was demolished in 1995.
Trinity Church was knocked down nine years earlier, while the Baptist Church fell in 1981.
