A CYCLIST was hit by a car during the rush hour this morning.
The male cyclist was rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car on School Avenue in Laindon at around 8.20 this morning.
An air ambulance landed near the Millhouse Primary School on Tavistock Road, but was not needed to transport the man to hospital.
Essex Police say the man did not suffer serious injuries.
No arrests were made, with "no driving offences" reported either.
Police closed part of School Road this morning, but the incident has now been cleared.

A spokesman from the ambulance service, said: "I can confirm that the East of England Ambulacne service responded to an emergency call shortly after 8.20am regarding an incident on School Avenue in Laindon, Basildon.
"We sent an ambulance, rapid response car and an air ambulance to the scene.
"A male patient was assessed and taken to Basildon & Thurrock Hospital by land ambulance for further treatment."
