IT wasn’t that long ago that “baggage reclaim” was a familiar sign at airports, in the days of airports and before the unfamiliar term “Covid-19”.
Now “Reclaim” is a word being used to name and describe a new political party, subject to a successful registration, by its likely leader, Laurence Fox.
It is said that £5million is already in their war chest and that many hundreds of candidates will run in local and national elections from next year.
Why this has happened is ironic. The left have become so intolerant of other views that the centre is feeling utterly suppressed and when Laurence Fox appeared on Question Time, he gave a surprising account and defence of his views. Now the rest is about to become history.
