DOES Jerry Glazier, of teaching union the NUT, really believe that thousands of children left to their own devices will help the lockdown work.
Think about it Jerry, what is the best for everyone?
Children in a controlled environment where social distancing, constant sanitisation and Covid-19 protocols are maintained, or roaming the streets in groups with no social distancing, congregating in supermarkets, parties at home while parents are at work, or worst still getting up to all sorts of mischief and danger?
I think most parents who are at work would prefer to know their children are receiving an education in a safe environment than receiving no education and not knowing where they are and spreading any infection.
