The coastguard was called in to help search for a missing teenager.
Essex Police and Southend Coastguard have been working together to find the 17-year-old girl, who was reportedly spotted on Canvey.
The Metropolitan Police is also involved in the search for the girl, who is called Chloe Clarke.
She has been missing from her home in Romford since January 17.
The search for Chloe was launched yesterday but there has been no further sightings of her on Canvey.
The coastguard is now asking for anyone with information to contact Essex Police.
A spokesman said: “A search was conducted of the locale where there had been reports matching the missing persons description but there were no signs of them in the area and all teams were stood down.”
Contact Essex Police on 101.
