Staff at a new drive-thru Starbucks coffee shop are raring to go ahead of a Covid safe opening.
The new business beside Morrisons, in Northwick Road, Canvey will open on February 19.
The drive-through has been created on the site that was first earmarked for a Costa Coffee branch in June 2016.
The original plan was for it to be part of the Roscommon Way business park, that looks set to create more than 500 jobs.
Charles Buncher, 26, assistant manager said: "Due to the Covid pandemic it will be a different sort of launch. There will be no dining in so customers can takeaway or use the driver through and we are also delivering through Uber Eats too.
"We will only be taking card payments and have 17 staff in two bubbles so if one person becomes ill the whole group can isolate and the store can still run.
"We are excited to get going and serve all our customers, it's something different for the community too. We are also looking for charities to support this year too."
