A Greggs worker was met with a raft of homphobic abuse after asking a customer entering the shop to wear a face mask.
The member of staff - who was working at the store on Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff - was verbally abused by a customer at around 10.40am on January 19.
After asking the customer to wear a face mask when he entered the store, the staff member was met with intimidating behaviour and homophobic abuse.

A spokesperson from Essex Police, said: "If you witnessed the incident, please submit a report online or call 101. The crime reference number to quote is 42/9935/21.
"Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
UPDATE: Following the public appeal, a man has now contacted the force and their enquiries remain ongoing.
