The victim who is in his 40s was stabbed in the chest, arm and leg during the attack in The Fryth, Basildon, just before 12:30am on Saturday.

His partner posted online about the attack shortly after and said: "It was my partner who was stabbed three times! He was walking through the park and was attacked by two young thugs.
"He's OK, he's got a deep stab wound to his leg, one in the chest and one in the back of the arm. Thanks to everyone who hoped he was OK."
