A traveller encampment has arrived at the site of a popular gym.
The encampment, which is currently in the car park at David Lloyd in Basildon, was first spotted at the site earlier this afternoon.
Passersby reported seeing caravans parked outside the gym, which is based in Festival Leisure Park, at around 2.30pm today (March 1).
It comes after at least four caravans and other vehicles were seen parked outside Basildon Council offices, St. Martins Square, on Wednesday evening.

However, it's believed the group who were parked in the centre square vacated the site over the weekend.
It is unknown whether or not the latest arrival is the same group.
UPDATE:
A Basildon Council spokesperson, said: “The land that was inhabited by the encampment is privately owned, and the firm who manages the site have now resolved the situation and the vehicles have left the area.”
