A MAN has been charged with two offences in connection with a burglary at a pensioners home.
Robert Sims, 28, was charged with burglary and fraud by false representation, and will appear in court next month.
Two men were arrested in connection with a burglary at an elderly woman's home in Canvey.
The 82-year-old was at her home off Sycamore Close, whem the incident took place in December.
Mr Sims, of High Road Fobbing, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on March 22, and was remanded in custody.
A spokesman from Essex Police, said: "Two men were arrested on Saturday 20 March in connection with the investigation.
"A 31-year-old man from Benfleet was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and released on bail until 13 April while we continue our enquiries."
