An air ambulance was spotted landing on the field of a popular park.
Witnesses say the ambulance arrived at Chalkwell Park, in Westcliff, around 9.50am this morning (March 25).
The ambulance service have since confirmed an ambulance and two rapid response cars also attended, in response to an emergency call regarding an incident on Valkyrie Road.
One man was then transported to the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre.

10.57am: The air ambulance has now been spotted taking off from the scene.
1.34pm: A spokesperson from the ambulance service, said: "I can confirm that EEAST responded to an emergency call shortly after 9am regarding an incident on Valkyrie Road, Westcliff.
"We sent an ambulance, two rapid response cars and an air ambulance also attended.
"One male patient was transported to the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre."
