SNOW has fallen across Essex this morning - just a week after families flocked to the beach to soak up the warm sun.
Last week, loved ones met along the seafront and in parks after lockdown restrictions were eased last Monday.
Temperatures reached highs of 20c - but today the weather has done a U-turn and people across the county have woken up to a light dusting of snow.
Snow has been spotted in Basildon, Southend and Rayleigh this morning, as well as further north of the county in Colchester and Braintree.
According to the Met Office, it's unlikely there will be more snow this afternoon.
