A driver was left trapped after their van crashed into a ditch.
Fire crews were called to the scene at the Five Bells, on the A13, last night (April 7) around 8.11pm.
The team worked to help a driver whose van had left the roadway and ended up in a ditch.
Together, both the fire service and paramedics helped release the casualty from the vehicle.
Fire teams from Basildon and Rayleigh Weir both helped out at the scene.
With their aid, the casualty was rescued by 8.50pm and left in the care of the ambulance service.
