A man was left injured after being shot in the face with an air rifle.
Emergency services descended on Ramsden Park Road, Ramsden Bellhouse, around 7.30am this morning after receiving reports a man had been shot with an air rifle.
Witnesses reported spotting armed police and a heavy police presence at the scene, while ambulance crews are believed to have also attended.
Essex Police have confirmed they found a man with an injury to his face, while a 76 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of ABH.
He is currently in custody.
