A DELIVERY driver was banned from driving for 26 months after he crashed into a set of gates.
The 56-year, from Poland, is reported have crashed into the gates on Stadium Way, Benfleet.
He then failed a roadside breath test and was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
While in custody, the man was found to be nearly three and a half times over the drink drive limit.

He was charged and remanded in court, where he received a 26 month driving disqualification, four weeks imprisonment suspended for 12 months, plus costs and victim surcharge totalling £233.
A spokesman from Essex Police, said: "On April 19, we attended a report of a road traffic crash in Stadium Way in Benfleet.
"It was reported that the driver of a delivery vehicle had crashed into a set of gates.
"A 56 year old man from Poland failed a road side breath test and was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
"In custody the male was found to be nearly three and a half times over the drink drive limit.
"He was charged and remanded to court the next day."
