Targeted - the store shut at about 7pm
A convenience store was reportedly robbed at knife point by an aggressive yob.
Co-Op, Nevendon Road, Wickford was targeted at about 7pm last night, according to residents and witnesses.
According to reports the man ran at the staff swearing and jumped over the counter and pinned a member of staff in the corner before grabbing the cash and leaving the store.
It is understood forensic police and medics were called to the store.
Essex Police has been contacted for comment.
