Only one Covid death has occurred in south and mid Essex hospitals in the past week.
NHS England figures show 2,384 people had died in hospital at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust as of today (Monday, May 10).
That was an increase of one compared to Friday, when there were 2,383.
No other deaths have been recorded in the latest week.
The previous week, two deaths were reported.
The latest figures also shows that Southend, Basildon and Broomfield Hospital are now only caring for 14 Covid patients between them.

That’s down from 24 on the same day the previous week and a 69 per cent decrease from 28 days when there were 45 Covid patients.
The latest figures also show that as of May 1, there were no patients in hospital with Covid on mechanical ventilators.
The Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust has so far treated more than 8,800 people for Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.
The trust is averaging 1.4 new daily admissions for Covid patients compared to the peak of the second wave at the start of the year where the daily average admissions peak at 112.
