A MAN has been charged after shots were fired at a home on Canvey.
Shots were fired at a property on Chiltern Approach just after 2.05am on May 5, in what is believed to be a targeted incident, but also a case of mistaken identity.
Nobody was injured but the person inside was left shaken.
Officers carried out warrants at address in Benfleet on 6 May and two men were arrested.

John Vassallo, 34, of Woodside View, Benfleet has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, cannabis production, and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on May 8 and is due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on June 7.
A 22 year-old man arrested has been released on bail until June 3.
