YOUNG engineers in Westcliff have been given an award for their drone project this year.
Westcliff High School for Boys received the best teamwork award for their Medical Drone Gold Award project called “The Saviour”.
The awards were organised by The Industrial Cadet scheme, which offers new accredited experiences to students to allow them to gain insight into science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in their future world of work.
STEM ambassadors at aerospace company Leonardo, including Basildon Graduate Systems Engineer, Nicole Young, mentored the team in Westcliff.
