Southend Airport is on the lookout for residents who can help try out its new Covid safety measures before it welcomes back tourists next week.
Holidaymakers will be allowed to fly abroad from the UK as of Monday when lockdown rules ease again.
Bosses at Southend Airport have once again been working on plans to keep passengers safe and ensure it is following the Covid guidelines.
Ahead of next week, the airport has issued a plea for volunteers to come forward and help try out the new passenger and terminal experience during a trial this Friday.
A spokesman said: "Unfortunately, a flight isn’t waiting after departures, but you will have the opportunity to see the new passenger journey, complete with new safety measures, and tell us what you think.
"Whether a practice run would support a family member, a day out with a difference is overdue or you simply miss airports and anything holiday related, get in touch for your chance to take a trip round our airport and let us know what you think."
Anyone interested is asked to send a direct message to the siport via its social media pages and outline who they would like to bring along.
Limited spaces are available.
Successful applicants will be contacted on Thursday with further details.
The measures in places are likely to be similar to those introduced last summer, which are outlined in the video below.
