A WOMAN was hit by a lorry and was rushed to hospital with a serious hip injury.
The pedestrian was hit by the lorry on Broadway West in Leigh, at around 10am this morning.
She was then rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.
A police probe has now been launched into the crash.

A spokesman from Essex Police, said: "We were called to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry in Broadway West, Leigh-on-Sea at around 10am on Wednesday May 26.
"The pedestrian, a woman, was taken to hospital for treatment on a serious hip injury.
"If you saw anything, have any CCTV or dash cam footage, or any other information please call us on 101 quoting incident 266 of 26 May or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
