AN AIR ambulance has landed in a field in Eastwood following an incident.
Residents spotted the air ambulance circling above homes in Eastwood at around 3.15pm this afternoon.
After hovering in the area, the air ambulance descended and landed in a field near Rayleigh Road behind the Eastwood Academy and Kingsdown Schools.
It is understood the air ambulance has now left the scene following the incident.
It is unknown how many people have been seriously injured.
Resident Kimberley O'Connell saw the aircraft landing at the scene.
She said: "There was quite a few people down there.
"We are all concerned for the wellbeing of anyone that has been injured."
The East of England Ambulance Service Trust and Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
