THE owner of a seafront cafe has shared how a group of men launched a vicious attack with chairs at his premises.
The brawl broke out at Pebbles One on Marine Parade yesterday, believed to be between 3pm and 4pm.
Footage of the incident showed two groups of men launching chairs and sun loungers at each other.
Paul Thompson, owner of the venue, said it was the first time in 20 years anything like this had happened.
He said: "We had one group of people eating lunch and from what we understand the second group approached from the beach and started throwing deck chairs at them and they started throwing chairs back at them.
"There was a lot of throwing items at each other.
"The two then left and went onto the pavement and carried on there a bit.
"They dispersed and a police riot van turned up."
It is not yet known if anyone has been arrested in connection to the incident, but the force were called to the scene.
Essex Police have been approached for comment.
Alcohol + Sun = brawl.
