A SCHOOL kitchen has been forced to close due to a positive case of coronavirus.
Bosses at St Anne Line Catholic Infant School in Basildon, off the Great Knightleys, confirmed one Covid case inside the school kitchen.
Children have been told to bring packed lunches to school until Wednesday.
The Echo understands a number of children have also been sent home to self-isolate due to an "outbreak."

An update on the school website reads: "Unfortunately the school kitchen was hit with a positive case of Covid, meaning children have had to bring in a packed lunch each day.
"We hope to have the kitchen open again on Wednesday June 30."
The school was contacted for further comment.
