'URGENT' assistance had to be called in to stop an alleged drug dealer in Southend.
The Essex Operational Support Group (OSG) were patrolling Southend when they were alerted to drug activity.
The suspect they approached attempted to resist them, requiring back up to be called in.
A spokesman for the team said: "Man arrested following a search in Southend - disrupting criminality with our proactive patrols.
"Resisted arrest and urgent assistance needed but thankfully officers uninjured."
A large quantity of cash and drugs were seized.

A man arrested in connection to the incident last night remains in custody for questioning.
The arrest comes after Essex Police confirmed it would be stepping up patrols in Southend with 46 extra officers for the summer at weekends.
Council bosses predict that due to Covid travel restrictions abroad, up to 100,000 more people could visit Southend for a 'staycation' this summer.
