TWO people were arrested on suspicion of robbery after an off-duty police officer called 999.
The off-duty inspector called 999 after witnessing the suspects get into a vehicle in Southend.
A unit from Essex Police's Operation Support Group was then able to stop the vehicle after passing it on the A127.
Two people were arrested and stolen cash was located.

A spokesman for Essex Police Southend said: "Yesterday an off duty Inspector called 999 and reported a robbery they witnessed and saw the suspects getting into this car.
"QX10, a unit from our Operational Support Group were in the right place at the right time as the vehicle passed them on the A127.
"Vehicle was stopped, occupants searched, stolen cash located and two arrested for robbery.
"Some fantastic teamwork from our Force Control Room and the officers."
