PICTURES have revealed forensic teams at the scene of a fatal fire in Southend.
Essex Police has released images of officers at the scene on Saturday, hours after a 66-year-old woman was rescued from a fire at her home on Southchurch Road.
She died a few days later, prompting a murder probe.
A 41-year-old man, who was known to the victim, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Nearby businesses told the Echo this week that forensic teams had "swarmed" the area in the days after the fire.

A spokesman from Essex Police, said: "A complex murder investigation into the death of a woman in a fire in #Southend is continuing today.
"We were called by colleagues in the fire service to the incident at about 2.45am on Saturday 3 July, after a property caught fire.
"Sadly, despite a 66-year-old woman being rescued from the property, she later died in hospital.
"A 41-year-old man known to the woman is still being questioned on suspicion of her murder.
"Anyone who believes they have information on the woman’s death or the hours leading up to the fire should call us on 101 and cite 42/128551/21."
