A MAN was knocked unconscious after being hit over the head in an attack in Southend.
Police have launched an appeal after they were called to reports of a man in his 60s being knocked unconscious on June 14.
The victim had left a pub near to Southend Street shortly after 10pm.
He faced a blow to the back o the head with an item and knocked unconscious as he crossed Baltic Avenue while walking along York Road.
The victim did not see anyone near them just before they were attacked or just after.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw anything or has CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage to come forward.
