A SOUTH Essex star and dancer is set to be the new host of a TV health show.

Jordan Banjo, 28, is to replace outgoing Gregg Wallace on BBC1 show Eat Well for Less? with Chris Bavin remaining as the co-host.

Jordan grew up in Wickford, and is a current member of the dance troupe Diversity, who won the third series of Britain’s Got Talent.

Announcing the new role on Instagram he said: “Finally after a while of dodging the question in interviews, I can say that I’m getting involved with the ‘Eat Well For Less’ team and co-hosting with my bro Chris Bavin. Filling some big shoes of the legend Gregg Wallace but it’s another new chapter and another thing to be excited and grateful for! Oh yeah we also did a spin off show Shop Well For The Planet with the lovely Joanna Page and Mel Sykes! Let’s go gang.”

Wallace quit after eight years in January, saying he needed to lessen his workload and spend more time with his young son.

Now Jordan, 28, will assist Chris in helping families to save money and sort food facts from fiction.
