Police officers this morning remain at the scene of a Pitsea park where a man was stabbed to death.
A man in his 40s was found with a stab wound in Northlands Park at 1.35am today (July 11) and later died in hospital.
Last night, the Essex Police helicopter was seen circling and a cordon was in place at Northlands Park this morning.
Four people have now been arrested on suspicion of murder, with police remaining at the scene to carry out their enquiries.

The force had initially been called with reports a man had been injured. Upon arrival, it was found a man had sustained a stab wound to his stomach.
He was taken to hospital but, sadly, later died there.
It is believed this was a targeted incident with those involved known to each other.
A 42 year-old woman, two men aged 41 and 45, and a 15 year-old boy have all been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in custody.
Essex Police assistant chief constable, Andy Prophet, paid tributes to his officers for their quick action.
He said: "Very quick arrests made by Essex Police. Specialist officers are investigating.
"Basildon communities can be reassured we believe this is a very isolated matter.
"We will have additional officers in the area of Northlands Park as we continue with this investigation."
