Police say a small den set up inside a woodland area in Rochford will be closed off following a small fire.
The blaze in Magnolia Park, which happened earlier this week, is said to be linked to the den.
It is understood the fire did not cause significant damage, with a police photo of the scene showing it had been largely confined to the floor.
The site is set to be cleared away in the coming days and officers will continue to patrol the area.

In a post on Facebook, officers wrote: “Following reports of a small fire within the woods of Magnolia Park, Rochford, which is believed to be associated to a den, we are working closely with a local councillor and Rochford District Council to reduce issues and have the site cleared and secured.
“In the meantime, we are patrolling and will positively deal with anyone involved.
“We continue to work closely with our partners at Essex Fire Service, who do organise community development projects, to raise awareness of the dangers of fire.”
