Police have closed a road in Westcliff this afternoon following a crash.
The incident happened near to the junction of Hamlet Court Road and Station Road around 2pm.
Officers are at the scene and are diverting traffic.
Police in Southend tweeted: "We are currently at a road traffic collision at the junction of Hamlet Court Road and Station Road Westcliff.
"Please avoid the area if you can, we are working to get the road re-opened as soon as possible."

The AA's website states traffic is coping well in the area despite the road closure.
Update 3.30pm
Police have now confirmed all roads have reopened.
A spokesman for Essex Fire Service confirmed crews from Southend and Rochford were called to the incident.
He added: "Firefighters were called to assist at the scene of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles which left one person trapped in their vehicle.
"Fire crews worked with paramedics to safely rescued the casualty from the vehicle by 2:15pm.
"The casualty was left in the care of the Ambulance Service."
